A well-dressed man needs good men’s dress pants. Flat-fronted, hip-hugging pants convey the modern look –for various pants fabrics. Get the perfect pair of pants by considering the following:
1. Get a fabric tape measure and know the size of your waist. It sounds quite simple but it’s important to know where the waist is. The modern hip-hugger pants look is most flattering to a man’s body. If you want yourpants to have this look, you need to measure your waist just above your hip bone, two to three inches below your belly button. Remember your waistline measurement. Take it in inches and centimeters.
2. The “rise” is a term to describe the length of the bottom seam of the crotch (at the intersection) to the middle of the back’s waist. A “short or low rise” is characteristic of hip-huggers.
3. The “inseam” section of the pants is the length of the pants from the intersection of the crotch area to the cuffs of the pants.
4. Pants pockets are there for utility reasons. However, they are not meant to be abused. If you notice bulging in the pockets, that’s a sign that it contains more than what it should.
5. Some shirts have cuffs at the end. It’s not a current trend but it helps keep the pant’s pleats in line due to the cuff’s weight, especially for pleated front. Shorter men will look taller without the cuffs though.
6. Your pants take the most beating everyday. Pick durable and comfortable fabrics for your trousers. Comfort and fit should be a top consideration.
7. Choose a style that enhances your features. Straight-cut styles are the safest choice. Pants with pleats make you look taller and it drapes better.
8. Always wear a belt if your pants have belt loops. |
